The Road to Utah (via Pasco)

Families can be together forever!
Good thing we like ours!

Once Evan finished recording the  new message for our answering                                      machine (literally done right before we went out the door), we piled in the truck and headed out. Terry drove, I got shotgun, Evan and Chelsea were stuck in back with Oreo sandwiched in the middle.  Oreo is too "senior, high maintenance" at the age of 14 to leave behind with a dog sitter anymore.  We only went as far as Pasco on our first leg of the trip and spent the weekend there with the Hamm Bunch.  It was nice to break up the trip to Utah with a layover at H and R's home and they even have a guest room to offer.  That's more than I can say for here.  When they visit us it's couches and floors for one and all.

R's parents and siblings were also in
Pasco for the weekend and R's sister was nice enough to take some casual family pictures for us.  Thanks so much Rebecca!! We had a nice time visiting, playing with the kiddos (is there anything better than grandkids?), and on Sunday at church we were able to witness Piglet's baby blessing. This was especially touching for us, since this was the first time Evan was able to stand in the circle of priesthood holders for a baby blessing.  And to have it be his niece made it even sweeter!

We left Pasco and headed for Provo early Monday morning.  H and the kids joined us for the trip.  They didn't want to miss Evan's send off to the MTC anymore than the rest of us.  Unfortunately, R wasn't able to join us - he had to stay home and work.  Funny how little things like "work" always seem to get in the way!  Next stop Provo.
